I HATE WAITING!! lol My lil egg is rocking. Its day 19! Keeping a VERY close eye on it. The temp got a lil high 104 after I added the 2nd sponge to up the humidity. I opened up one of the air holes to drop it back down. Humidity went down too but not much. I think its around 63% Guess I should get the bator set up. My first egg and chicken ever! I feel like Im about to give birth to my own child!! LOL

remember not to help- when it pips and it has an air hole and can breathe- and it can be in the egg another 24hr. sit on those hands.

I am one day behind you!

Thanks, some of mine are bantams, they might hatch sooner, I don't care how many I get, if I get 4/6 I would be happy. 2/6 I would be just as happy. atleast 2 would be nice. I am really hoping the egg that started this hatch hatches, it will be a blue or a splash of some sort, I have the mom. the others were just to keep it company. But there may be a blue in there too.

Im on day 20!! Its killing me watching it moving and no pip!!! Ive been staring at it all day lol. Not a patient person! Hopefully it will pip by the time I wake up. Its driving me insane! Just want my baby chick here already!!! Gah!!!!

Hahahah... patience!

I'm in lockdown, but I'm concerned that my humidity may not be high enough. My monitor says 29% (but don't trust it) there is condensation all around the edges of the incubator.

Can I open the incubator to dampen my sponge? Or should I just leave it?

Any ideas people?

Thanks.

My temp got to 106° last night! I opened the lid and quickly took out the extra sponge that I added. Then I had to put it back in cause the himidity wouldnt go back up. I ended up having to much water in the container. I just checked everythig this morning and temp and humidity are perfect and my egg is still moving. I dont think its going to hurt to open it up for a quick second. But if you have condensation I think you are fine. Mine has it around the window and its sitting at 62-64°
