Ethari's tail is looking SO much better! No more fin rot and it's growing back in slowly but beautifully. I've also noticed the dark green/black algae seems to have resolved since I dosed the tank with doxycycline.

I have learned that golden pheasants will attempt to eat mosquito fish and hornwort. My goldens have been walking in the shallow parts of my pond picking out any unaware mosquito fish and having themselves a nice salad if hornwort lol. Luckily I still have a good amount of it in the deeper end and my mosquito fish are still staying strong. Anyone have any ideas on how duckweed might do? I'm assuming they'd gobble that up too lol

I still have 2 running. A 40g. w/ 2 silver dollars that have to be at least 8 yrs. now. 2 feeder goldfish from a bait shop and one pleco. A bristle nose something. He is about 4 inches long. I have company that will comment they didn't know silver dollars got that big.
Then a 5g. w/4 mountain minnows and one Cory cat.

I miss having fish :hit
I'm kicking myself for getting more goldfish last January. I could have been down to the one tank. Two isn't bad to take care of but I still drag my feet on water change day. I'm probably in for another 10-20 years.

I know that feeling. I had 11 I think and I was getting pretty good at decorating w/ live plants and wood. I really enjoyed it. Today I have someone to do maintenance on my 40g.
