I’m sure by the sounds of it you have a mink, they are very good killers

Does anyone think if I get an air rifle(bb gun) that it might kill it? My grandfather kills squirrels with his bb gun

Yup they can only run 4 mph and usually weight about 2.5 pounds so slow and not very big blast away

I have never seen a mink move slow. They do really like to eat fish if you could bait a live trap with fish I’m sure it would fall for it.

I’ve never even seen one I just read that on wiki they can only move at 4 mph lol

If you're a heck of good shot...or live trap it first.
But killing one pred will not kill them all, tho I do believe mink are solitary.
As far as being nocturnal, any predator will hunt and kill in the daytime if it's hungry enough.

i caught my first mink in the middle of the day in a coni-bear, but a high power air rifle should be able to kill it just fine.
