i catch fish with cheese all he time

i also once almost caught a GIANT bass with a lil tiny peice of scented fake bait. he grabbed it like it was just a snack as he swam under the dock at my grandparent's lakehouse, i got him out of the water...and then he twisted off the hook and swam away

lol yeah the lakehouse has been in our family since my grandpa was a kid and there are these "legends" about the giant bass under the dock and how maybe once in thier lives everyone who goes fishing there will almost catch it but it'll get away i guess i don't have another chance oh well

Catfish can live 60-70 years,last year i caught a 72lb flathead,well the old lady is a wildlife vet and wanted to find out how old it was,evidently there is a little bone in the ear that can tell there age down to the exact year.She cut it out and looked at it through a microscope,it's like counting rings in a tree,she said it was 69 years old.I normally would have let such a wise fish go but it swallowed the hook which pretty much dooms them.
