wow...that makes no since to me what so ever, if that were true...combs would start on the tips of their beaks!!!!! You might want to spend a litle more time looking at pictures of pullet's....i believe i have seen BILLIONS of pullet's with combs that go even/past their eyes.

Please don't write off Miley as a roo. Our RIR hen "Chicken Guy" had the biggest comb EVER. I will hunt down some pictures for you.

Don't dispair. Even the s-experts on here have probably all been proven wrong now and again. That's why it's so fun to watch these threads.

well sadly....."im sorry to report"...the last picture of the one week old baby suddenly died today. Recently i have been takeing my 3 week old'ers outside for 15 min a day to run around and stretch out. Well i bought 5 baby chicks 6 days ago from rural king and one of them was a polish chick..."i.e Reece" Took all 10 of my hopefull girls outside today to frolic in the grass for a bit and not 5 minuets go by and Reece was flopping and flailing around on the ground!!! I quickly picked her up and saw that she was bleeding from her right eye, mouth, and nostril area. I was horrified!! I wrapped her in a blanket and tried to get some heat on her. She died right there in my hands, allmost instantly. It's 65 degrees and sunny here with a slight wind. The yard has not been sprayed here in about 2 years so i know it was nothing chemical. Im beginning to think she just went into shock. Also, i know nothing of polish breed chickens, so with their enlarged nostril area...makes me think that her very first time outdoors just was too much for her. The other babies first time out went great! Ran around, picked at the ground, and ran with the rest of my allmost 4 week old flock. I came outside with 10 chicks and now im back in the house with 9. I keep my brooder inside my house with a heat lamp with my room temp. of 72 degrees. My girlfriend was the one to notice reece flailing about becuase i was inside cleaning off a poo stain on my knee of my shorts and she was watching the girls outside. I asked her if she might of kicked it by accadent, or stepped or even sat on her. She told me she did nothing of the short, and if she did, she would of felt/ herd something. Gosh im so sad...i don't know what to do. Should i go buy a replacement??

Please do not ask for opinions if you don't want them. Everyone needs to start behaving or I'm flushing this thread, end of story.

He gave his opinion, i took it...that should be that. He was trolling my thread after that. I had very special chick die on me today, last thing i needed was attitude from a RUDE user.

My appologies on the opinion post i made above, it has been fix'd.
