Thats ok re the mattress thing. Even the best inventors need to improve on their creations before they get it right. And you will! I understand re the mareks info being too overwhelming for now. Its all u can do to help keep May comfy. And furthermore u dont even know if she Has Marek's yet.

It wasn't all that hard to add the guard rails to the mattress frame. And a support for her breast covered with wool fur. (Nothing but the best for my patient.) But she managed to get out of it before I came back with the camera. So, a bungie cord finished off the project. Notice who's back stealing food.

Harry Houdini might not have died during his final magic act if he had studied the stellar abilities of chickens to escape just about any sort of confinement.

May just laughed off the bungie cord over the top of the guard rails. I added a rear bumper guard. She got out by wiggling forward. I rigged up broad deer netting over the top and put her feeding table back in front of her.

So far, it seems to be holding the paralyzed pullet in place. I mean, paralyzed, and this gal still managed to get free.

Just heard back from Zoological Labs. Test for Mycoplasma synoviae was negative.

That's great news!!! So, now what?

Just got finished ordering the blood test kit for Marek's. It's coming snail mail. Kit is $18. Test on the samples sent back will be an additional $20. The kit will take until 2021 to arrive via USPS. Then plan on another week or more to send it back and get the results.

May and I have plenty of time for a trip to the Bahamas while we're waiting oh-so-patiently for this all to play out. But we'll have this time to enjoy one another in the meantime.

If that test comes back negative, as well, May will then be martyred for a necropsy.
