Yes in a sense it is surely a relief that if you cant save her, at least you will (hopefully) know what you've been battling. Do you know how long it will take to get the results? With Jule's necropsy, you said everything looked completely normal. What all will they be testing for that is Not visible to the eye?

This is a full service lab. They will dissect the organs, looking for abnormalities and if needed, they can also do bacterial tests. They know what Marek's and leucosis organs look like and Marek's has a nerve in the thigh that is obviously enlarged that will scream Marek's.

I did the necropsy on Jules, so I wasn't able to do lab tests, and I couldn't see anything about her that indicated anything abnormal.

Just heard from a friend who's offered to help me out with the long drive. I plan on doing it early tomorrow. This is a sad turn of events, but we are close to finding out what this mystery disorder is if you want to try to look on the positive side.

Ive long since learned that if a dearly loved outside animal is dying, its better to bring them inside if at all practical. Ive even tucked small animals in bed with me overnight, including dogs and chickens. (With the animal lying on plenty of towels of course). I still dont sleep well, knowing their life is drawing to a close. But at least i dont need to worry, since they are near. Without fail, every animal ive done this with seems relaxed and comforted. Ive had no doubt they felt my love. On her final morn, know that June felt your love too.
