I have two chickens that live in a tree. They have a coop but they won't sleep in there. They only go in to get some water and lay their eggs. They even go out in the rain and one time time they flew onto the roof of a house next door

What breed are they? do you have pictures of them?

Some breeds are just more prone to flying than others; even within the breed the personality of the chicken will determine a lot, so I have found out.

For instance, my little Rhode Island Red is my flier - I've found her on top of my shed, on the roof of my house, on top of my car, inside my son's Cozy Coupe car, in every nook and cranny of my shed, in my house on top of the counter and many other places. But my Silver Laced Wyandotte has never flown anywhere and I guess her life would have to be at stake to require such motivation. I think it all depends on the breed, you know.

Which breed are your chickens?
