Hello. I have a question and would like advise. I just realized I bought the wrong bag of feed.
Will purina game bird chow-flight conditioner be ok to feed to my laying hens?
Does anyone feed this to their hens? What are your results for egg production?

Thanks in advance.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! I'm afraid I'm not ofay with the Purina feed so can't be of much help to you. You could post in the feeding your flock section of the forum. Here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/12/feeding-amp-watering-your-flock
I'm sure members there will be able to advise you on this feed.

Wishing you the very best of luck and enjoy BYC :frow

My guess, and I'm not familiar with the feed, would be if the protopunk level is equal to our greater than the layer feed you normally use, it will be OK. You may need to offer calcium ( oyster shell, clean crushed egg shell) on the side for egg production.

Thanks y'all
i opened the bag already

calcium percent is lower then the normal feed I give them so I'll add oyster shells and the fiber percent is high so I'll hold back on the fresh veggie snacks Ive been giving them
