Float test

Had a great weekend watching chicks hatch and now i have 9 of the little cuties ,who needs a tv when you have these to look at .strange though ,1st arrived right on day 21, 9th chick arrived day 24.but have just had 10th chick arrived day25 but not looking good chick just lying there so sad.have 2left only problem is its day 25 ,have just float tested and eggs and they sit just above water line ,what do you think do i wait and see or call it a day!!!!!!

If they do hatch they will probabkly be weaker than day 24 chick and/or have leg and neck deformaties. Are you using a still air incubator or forced air?

Its forced air,Yeh not sure what to do day 24 chick is week and struggling to stand.

Forced air shouldn't have had much in the way of "hot spots" where some eggs could develop more than others so I would assume the other eggs are probably not going to hatch. it sounds like the late chick might have used to much energy escaping the egg? Is it just weak? Maybe sugar water to give it energy?
