Got mine from TSC and the hens weren't thrilled, but did peck some. Apparently it is not as interesting as free ranging

I did have some better luck with it once I busted it up into 4 or 5 smaller chunks.

I bought mine at Murdochs for I think $12.99 (same one pictured from Purina) and the girls won't touch it

I bought one for my girls and it took a while for them to discover it last summer. Once they did.... they loved it and it quickly disappeared. They get lots of "extras' like weeds from my organic garden, kitchen peelings, scratch, cracked corn in addition to their laying mash. I think they like it because all the seeds are glued together with molasses. I just started feeding mine alfalfa and that is a real hit. They love to scratch it and eat all the leaves. I now have 15 girls of various ages as I started buying baby chicks last spring and just got some more young pullets this month. I think it takes a while as there were no older ones that knew what it was.
