A4 was a good call. Those are roughly equal. I expected that small flocks would involve some difficult judgement calls.

We'll be cutting out(Culling some older Birds), in the fall. The Juveniles will be joining the Standard, Mixed flock, & Bantam coops once large enough. I'll also will be sorting out the newbs(Deciding Who to Cull), once large enough in the fall. We'll be eating lots of chicken.

I recently gave away 4 hens and I’ll be eating the rooster and one of the cockerels in the next week or two.

A4 for me. 7 hens over 1 year, 10 (pretty sure) pullets at 12 weeks. Not sure how population will end up changing in the winter as I grow the flock.

Main coop has 23 hens, 2 roosters (Ludwig is for sale), 2 pullets nearing POL (also for sale), 7(?) more pullets (some of whom will be for sale later), and 5 chicks (hopefully all pullets).

Camp Cockerel has 12 boys, 5 "adults" (4 of them for sale), and 7 not yet feeling their hormones (6 of them for sale).*

Only two of the "adults" in Camp Cockerel were actually attempting to mate the hens (and only one succeeding in gaining consent from both hens and roosters), but they're all showing their adult male plumage and crowing so I presume that they would have mated if they'd been permitted.

*The other 2 birds who are not for sale are a seriously deformed fellow who was an assisted hatch and a crossbeak. They will be culled for the table at a suitable time along with any boys who don't sell.

(The 14 still-viable eggs in the incubator won't count for another 8 days. )
