Yippee!! I have intergarted birds before and it has been stressful to say the least. I have been progressivly weeding out the most aggressive birds over the last year. My work has paid off! Yesterday I intergrated 7 young pullets in with my existing flock. It went a lot better than I had expected.
The lowest ranking hen is the only one who occasionally chases the young ladies. This is normal from my experience. My Silkie roo has started to show the young ladies where the food and water is (I have installed an extra set of feeders and waterers to reduce compition). He's a true gentleman
I just had to share.
