Afternoon everyone!
Sad news got a better light to candle quail eggs and looks like they got that air bubble and that was the end of growth. So we shall try again later!

Good news! I went and cleaned and set up my big new brooder since it's crazy warm today and set up in barn. I moved my chicks to new crib and they are in love! Here's some photos of them hogging one feeder when there was a second right. Beside. Them!

Sorry about your Qual eggs not developing love. Very Sad but you have beautiful chicks that are stunning just cuddle those little darlings

Some 12 egg cartons can be cut in half.

Make sure to add in the cost of cartons too! The best I have managed is about 50cents per carton

Everyone has been giving me cartons too. I have about 50 of them at the moment.

The flock is doing good, free-ranging at the moment. I'm so excited about my first egg! I can't wait for more to start laying.

I'm sorry about Tank. I'm sure he was the bestest boy!

Morning/evening everyone. It's 4am here & I've just put my son on the first boat off the island. It's going to be a long day...

Let the girls free range in the rain yesterday ~ light afternoon showers. I thought they'd huddle under the verandah but, nope. Out scrabbling all over. Think someone might be moulting. She's certainly not laying.

Is he off to school?

I haven't let my girls out in the rain since we had the fox attack. The fox was out at 2pm which is so early but it was raining and overcast so thats probably why.

My girls got cereal for breakfast today.

Got 1 egg so far from Hazel.
Im spending time with Jordan until he leaves to go put new tyres on the car. Then ill sort the housework.

No, He was going pro crabbing with his twin but because of the tides had to be picked up on the mainland.

My mother inlaw is heading over from the Island today shes on her day now and I haven't started my housework yet lol.

Foxes are just annoying! We have alot!

Aww thanks! It is a bummer but was a great learning experience!

They are pretty cute... the little americuanas are so funny with chubby cheeks and short wings. They're the only breed i know out of mine lol! I'm looking forward to the awkward teen phase
