Actually, I wouldn't be opposed to a cockerel or two. I love white leghorns and would like to hatch some again. I know most people seem to think that they're just boring producers, but I am quite attached to the breed. There's a whole story behind this attachment, but I'm just excited to have some again.

My name is Eli, I have ring necked doves, cockatiels, budgies, chickens, ducks, turkeys, peafowl, rabbits, mice, a ball python, and my family breeds GSD.

It's still winter but I am getting ready to set eggs for that easter hatch along. I can only set chicken eggs but the cockatiels might set their own around that time, one of the females is interested in mating but for some reason the male is not. I think he might be to young.

I have 3 right now. 2 older hens, 4 years old, and 1 younger male, just around 11 months now.

Here is a picture of one of the hens from a while ago when I was working on taming them.

The closest I have had are the hy-line commercial layers that I hatched from Trader Joes fertile eggs.

I like them! They can be a bit quirky too

Awww thats so cute! I had a rainbow lorikeet. He was amazing but he got biten by a spider and passed away.
