Flock Update, anyone?
My flock has been doing fairly well lately. I’ve gotten up to 15 eggs in a day this week! The chickens & ducks are my precious little angels The guineas on the other hand, are hellions. The guineas all ganged up on my favorite male guinea the other day and almost ripped his stomach open. He is now healing and living peacefully with the chickens. I put the smallest guinea hen in there with him so he would be too lonely. ~

My entire flock free ranges every day, and they love every minute of it. They’ve been getting treats lately, the spoiled birds.
I have come to like the guineas, even though they cause mischief My Black ameraucana was rehomed on Friday... her "egg sack" was dropping and she’s an old gal... pictures before she left and of her bottom areas ~ She was a sweetheart, sorry she had to be let go.

Thanks! Yep, all settled in, no issues. Tippin is most certainly keeping me busy.

I was looking at coop ideas on here and my husband all of a sudden texts me ( he's sitting bedide me) and it's this.... I can't quite put my finger on why he'd send me this

I'm still surprised he actually let me put it on him. There were other hats he modeled for me as well, but I can't find the pictures.(that was my obsessive, cat-hat-making phase)

In other news, I had ten chicks hatch over the weekend: six d'uccles and four sultans. With some more eggs in the incubator for Thursday and beyond...

He does look so cute in this one!

Awww!!! Thank you! @KLIL green is my fav color! And I'll definitely post as we build!

I'm loving watching them grow! I'm excited to see how the coloring turns out! I'm bummed that I didn't get some australorps like i thought but once these guys grow up and in new pen i might get some of those and easter eggers and barnevelders! I'm hoping for a good mix in the yard!

I can't wait to see your build! Ive been watching YouTube videos but only trying to watch them with Jordan so he sees the ideas too.

Australorps are beautiful and they seem pretty sweet and hearty when it comes to hot and cold weather changes. My RIRs are good with the heat. Hazel my Hybrid Australorp well thats what I was told she is (don't think she is but). She struggles a bit with the heat but seems to still lay and cools herself down early but compared to the RIR she struggles.

My flocks doing okay.
Brahmas are doing great, starting to collect their eggs to put under my broody lemon Pyle hen

The guineas are going crazy, wandering far out around the feilds getting onto the road. They’re spending a lot of time around the rushes at the bottom of one of the feilds, maybe they’re looking for nesting sites as it is the time of year for them to do that.

Ducks are doing great, one of the rouens is starting up a nest now, maybe she’ll go broody too.
Mother duck has had a wild first hatch, hopefully the two remaining ducklings get on well and stay healthy.View attachment 1706412

You are going to have babies all over the place! Im so jealous! I want babies!

I had to hold a customers baby yesterday he was sooo cute. He was only 4 weeks old.

So happy for you AussieChick! All three in one day!! ... still waiting for all eight in one day... but it’ll be awhile cuz my little Silkie.. Nilky.. is broody...
All other gals are great and have been free ranging pretty much daily... and now they expect it! But Nilky is not happy at all about free ranging as she is not able to get back to the coop due to the puppy fence ... so she paces the fence line or follows me around.. clucking ... OR chases the big gals and pulls their feathers...she’s so frustrated... and angry

It sounds like grounding a teenager! That was me when I couldn't go out. Pacing at the door, getting annoyed qt everything, clucking at my parents lol

I wasn't grounded much but when I was in high school got in trouble at school and got my phone taken off me! I looked everywhere for the thing after dad too it off me. I couldn't find it. It was hidden in the pot plant at the front door. I pulled the whole house apart while he was at work.

Jordan just messaged me a photo of something while he was standing next to me. Im like what does this guy want? And he was just like really? I just started laughing.

Ohhh and he stole one of my drinks to take to work so I drink V Energy drinks and he loves Redbull. I only have a V"
's rarely. So we were shopping and I grabbed a 4 pack and said would you like Redbull? He says no.
Ok off we go. Then today his hidding a V drink behind a water bottle to take to work with him. I said hey thats my V? After I noticed he had a guilty smile on his face. His like no, its green cordial (because I can see the green can through the water bottle). I said we didn't buy green cordial. He says he popped to the shops and got some. Now im down to 2 V drinks and I haven't even drank 1 lol.
