I got her first egg about a month ago. The color and shape matched up. She layed it near the Bantams nest boxes. I assume her nest was the only other place she layed.

I sold the runner ducks, the Black silkie cockerel (I still have my blue silkie cockerel), and the blue orp rooster on Friday!

I also acquired a white Ameraucana rooster and 2 five month old silkie pullets:

The older silkie turned baddd! She hurt little WhoDat but he’s expected to make a full recovery. The older one has been separated

I can’t wait to start hatching ducks and Ameraucanas!!!

And to finish up my little flock update, one of my OEGB hens is missing, no feathers, signs of a predator, no nothing.

Aaww, poor little WhoDat! That meanie.. Happy for your “sells&buys”... and so sorry for your missing hen

Flock Update:

I did a thing! Not pretty and it temporary but I think the littles like it!


We also got 6 new chicks... forgot we had them coming. 2 Australorp, 1 speckled sussex, 3 welsummers. So new set up can now handle them all! Big girls are still in their brooder while we still work on converting the shed and build the run. Today's rain put a lot on hold!!

We'll see how new set up goes tonight... i have a screen across shed doorway so if anyone some how escspes they're blocked when i open the door. Hoping to reinforce it better tomorrow.

All done with expansion but not opening it up to everyone yet as I have put the five week olds in the addition for now.. it’s the biggest “see no touch” area there prolly ever was ... when they get fully integrated I may put Nilky and her babies in there for awhile and then when it’s time to integrate them I’ll then open it up to everyone!
I’ll post pics of the new roosting area when we are done.. almost!
