Saving to Build a Bigger Coop:
This year my main goal is to save to build a bigger coop. It may not be built this year but my focus is saving for the build. My goal will be about $3000. I haven't started yet as we both had car repairs the last week. :hit
Hopefully soon you can get it built. I would definitely expand the coop size to its $3000 worth. More chickens is always better!

Hello Christie, Lovely to meet you im Krystal.
Where in Queensland are you from? Close to the city or out bush?
I can't wait to see your hatching process. Please post updates love.

Hi Krystal, I’m “out bush” about 3 hours West of Brisbane though it’s closer to 2.5 hours now with the new roads. But I’m in town so limited to how many chookins I can have, still, what council doesn’t know won’t hurt them. I’ve had up to 26 at one point, chicks and cockerels don’t count though right?

I admit I’m quite partial to the Sussex, I’ve had light and buff, these chicks will be my first speckled, and I’ve grown to like the auracana despite their looks, I’ve also had a barnevelder, beautiful birds. My current hens are a auracana light Sussex mix with some isa brown thrown in for good measure. One blue egg layer which I was thrilled about. If I could have a rooster I’d try breeding some olive eggers as I love a colourful egg basket.
