So tsc chick days ends tomorrow who am i to turn down every last chick in the tubs so they have room for the new ones they had in the back? 62 new fluffy butts and 4 new ducklings = $25 25 Cornish, 10 blue Andalusian, 6 champion pearls, 5 or 6 (?) Olive eggers, 5 or 6 (ish) leghorns, and the rest are blue wyandottes.

Hope you can fight those allergies! I am just chilling round the house but right now going to find some stuff to do here on BYC. Need to go to TSC to get some food for the ducks later...

Did you go to TSC? ...did you come away with "only" the food?

thank you! this afternoon my husband asked me if i had my medicinal card when he saw me... didn't click for a moment.. apparently my eyes are crazy bloodshot and swollen right now. but i'm starting to be able to breathe....

How fun!!! What are you going to do with all those chickens?

The Cornish we will eat in a few months. The rest will be egg layers. I have 4 acres and the chicks have a very very large run and will be allowed to free range during the day once they are grown.

@FlockQueen I've found that CX do best on 18% protein for 8 weeks. I keep them in the brooder for 3 and then move them to a tractor. I move the tractor daily for 35 days and then process them. If you have a good batch, they dress at about 6 pounds each.

Hit post by accidenta couple of the olive eggers are MUCH smaller than the rest but feathered out the same? Bantams? Or just midgets
