J- Couldn’t post at the time but was able to check out the link, beautiful geckos, didn’t know they came in so many colours

Mystic- Glad 2 hens came back, egg doesn’t look good but chicks sure do

I found out that someone dropped the egg, not far but looks like it was enough. We opened and had a perfect day 16 chick in there... looks like the main blood vessels got separated from the yolk to the chick

Not a good week in chicken area...

Dropping hatching egg is one reason why I try to handle them as little as possible. I candle from the top of the egg in the incubator and to not pick them up unless I need to move them

Sunflower was taken by a fox today
She’s not in the coop and I found some of her feathers at the bottom of the field

I have some of her eggs under our broody buff Orpington, hopefully we get at least one hen.

They do sometimes.
It looks like the fox is getting them at the bottom of our field at the end of our lane near the road. Our dogs are never down there cause we have an underground electric fence to stop them from going onto the road.
