@WVduckchick yup nostrils are clear after I pulled back the shell lining upon seeing blood. Most the baby got was a little dab of copper in his mouth.

It is always nice to hatch more than one.

The one with a bit of blood has a good chance of making too

Where in Ireland? I just moved to Kerry from the US. Will be keeping you in mind if I ever expand my flock to include Brahmas.

@WVduckchick Rcom mini lol. It's tiny but it's given me 99% perfect hatches as long as all my eggs are fertile and a large basic Styrofoam still air incubator post hatch. That I just got XD

Are these mixed color bantam cochin chicks?

@bantamsrmyfav mine are white bantam Cochin crossed to my EE rooster. So bantam size but clean legged and all are white or 90% white from color of down. The chipmunked one is from my New Hampshire red hen and standard sized

Clearly the feed stores should stock chicks in winter lol. Had the chicks for around 24 hrs and already presold 18(little did I know they were in such demand lol). May keep the remainders to off put any deaths as 8 of the sold chicks are to be pullet age before going to their new home
