Here’s my egg basket today... it’s getting full.. I will be bringing some to my mother-in-law on Tuesday.... She fell and broke her arm and had to have surgery so we have all been taking turns staying with her..

Please give me the pros and cons about Brahmas... I may order two to add to my flock...

Great to hear that you’re considering getting some. :D

Here’s the pros:
They’re quiet, easy to tame, very friendly, cold hardy, they make great broodies and mother hens being able to cover lots of eggs and they’re good egg layers.
They’re a very laid back breed.

Cons:
they’re very slow to mature, their feathered feet can get ruined if kept in a muddy run and they eat ALOT more food compared to any other chickens I’ve had.

The pros outway out the cons for me though, they’re a joy to have around.

Okay, thank you! I’m gonna have to think about it.. I was wondering about the food:lol:... I figured.... I do not have to worry about the cold here.. I have to worry about the heat.. ours will die of heat stroke way before they would suffer from cold! And my little white Silkie does fine with her feathered feet..
But I would LOVE some... they are gorgeous
