Flock/Life Journey's 2019

This will be my 1,001 message! I didn't realize I had reached 1,000 until this morning when I checked my alerts.

I got my second egg from one of my standard girls!

She tried to fit her big butt into the Bantams nest boxes first. It was a tight squeeze! :gig I picked her up and set her in the standard girls fridge-nest and she started getting ready to lay.

She had to stand up to get it out!

In sadder news, one of my ducks is seemingly egg bound. :hit Another warm bath is in her future. I might have to break out the gloves and lube if she doesn't lay soon.

Hope your boy is ok love. :)
Being sick is the worst.
Im starting to want chicks after all these photos!

Thanks sweetie! :love
Yeah he's doing a lot better! He had all of us worried, this morning he woke "starving" so good sign! I woke with an ear infection so now I'm not allowed to go out in the cold wind. Ugh! :hmm Gonna have my 14yr old check on the chicks later. :barnie

The little fuzzies are definitely cute!

We got to my dad’s house in Arizona where the baby and I are staying, last night around 12:30am. Today we went to the Apple store because my phone was destroyed by LO throwing it on the floor and my mom accidentally stepping on it in California. That phone is not recoverable but thank goodness I had iCloud. I had data backed up from June 9th. Still lost pictures and video from my phone from June 9th onwards but at least I have 2+ years worth that got transferred to an extra phone my dad had.

I don’t have any pics of the chicks to share today, unfortunately. I will ask my mom to send the ones I took on her phone tomorrow. I took some on my tablet but I left the tablet at my mom’s.

So the night the campine chick died I thought of how we would need to predator proof the chicken run. It was too late for the Cornish chick because he too was killed before I checked on them the next morning. Next morning I found a large bird cage that I used as a pen for the hen and lone chick. They looked quite cozy in there. My grandma said it’s sad that there’s only one chick so she gave me money to buy 4 more. I went back to the seller with the McMurray layer chicks and there were probably less than 10 chicks left. My mom and I picked out 2 EE, 1 red chick that might be a production red, and a dark Cornish that is probably a rooster.
Good news on the phone and the new chicks!
