Flock/Life Journey's 2019

Good morning/evening all :frow

Cinnamon here (the hen who was mysteriously sick two weeks ago) is now completely fine. I'm still keeping an eye on her but she's just as ravenous when it comes to food as ever. :)

All this rain caused issues today! Leak in roof over brooder, played "dry that chick" and tried cleaning out brooder and it fell apart!!!!:he :hit
So had my boys help me get chicks out of it and then cart it out of the coop. Then the issue of needing safe hiding places and food and water placement!
It's been a rough morning and this just took it over the top!

But here are photos of new set up and the new girls and babies... after a bit we let the big ones back in... only minimum pecking and meanness:fl

Thank you! Roof leak is fixed, shingle got turned up and old screw opening was exposed to the elements. Easy peasy fix... so far so good on the move :fl I'm going to see if i can't repair brooder but we'll see :hmm or I'll use old one as example for new one! :pop

This is Watermelon and she has asour crop i found out. It was insanely full!! Bugger was hiding it well! Well I finally found a good post on some tricks to try and massaging it really good then turning her over massaging quickly and slowly turning her back over seemed to work some! It started to deflate. We have her in a dog crate with just water in carport area for now to get it to empty completely.

Today is definitely a Monday!!!:rant :he :barnie
