Flock/Life Journey's 2019

Thanks guys!!! I think I'll toss the really dirty one just in case! What day dhould air cells show? I'll candle on day 5 or 7 for fertility.....
:hugs:hugs:hugs

In other news my heat lamp died... but the duckies seem to be doing fine... i really need to make their house!!

The chickens outside are ok though they still stay in the coop too much! Monday morning they get to free range as everyone will have been in run area over a week then. Hopefully they'll be happier then. :D :ya:wee

You should be able to see them from day one. At day 14, no air cell, I worry. Lock down no air cell or stink and I toss. I'm not sure I'd toss the dirty one... You've already introduced what ever it brought with it... So I'd give it a shot at hatching.

Be sure to candle for cracks too! Shipped eggs can get hairline cracks in them. When I see those I toss them. Even if they are glued, they will not likely make it and exploding eggs(usually oozing eggs) are not good for hatching. They can ruin other eggs in the incubator

Hi everyone! This is all very interesting, but I’m just reading silently since I have zero experience with this!

Did you see the necropsy results on my hen? It’s got me a bit discombobulated. I think I’ll go let them out to free range and enjoy this gorgeous day!

Happy weekend!!!

This morning the incubator was very smelly, ended up tossing dirty egg after all :(

I'm candling tonight for aircell check and taking photos to share :D
I was asking incubation questions on another chicken platform and they were getting annoyed as it was a chat... so I'm glad I can come to BYC for a warmer community!:hugs:love

Getting some sand today for the coop, found hole that let it drain out and going to patch it. Possible storms this afternoon has me trying to get things done quickly :barnie
