I'm thinking my barnyard mix is buff Orpington and barred rock. Same coloring as a buff orp but has barring like BR. Kinda fun looking! Her and Pepper are inseparable!

Today I worked on the brooder Inside! Still have more to add, need more hardware cloth and still need to figure out how to do side doors.

Not much else today except for last trip to pool for kiddos as thry start school Wednesday! And all 3 are going this time!!!

That’s looking great! I cheated.. had to enlist the help of hubs ... I do do all of the designing though.. does that count..?
I guess mine is actually more a large bird cage than an aviary ... still a ways to go.. we are trying to work in the wee hours of the LATE evening... it’s SO hot

Hubs are great help! Mine helped with confirming numbers, and looking to make sure I got the logical stuff all taken care of.

Can't wait to see yours when done!!

Flock Update:
We will be getting a Garden Shed to convert into a coop and putting a Run on it. Hopefully big enough to have 20 chickens and im thinking just 1 Roo.
Has anyone converted a shed before?

OMG! I just got home and Coco is laying on her side breathing but not moving much. Won't come out of the coop or eating or drinking .
I dont know what to do? Should I pick her up and make her drink?
Almond had poop on her back feathers but I think she sat in some. I'm worried if Coco has a disease? Is it wise for me to be picking her up or should I wait and get Jordan to?
