Flock/Life Journey's 2019

Evening / Morning folks :frow

Everyone keeps saying I look like I'm glowing and my hair is extremely shiny and nice.
It's something that just comes with the pregnancy :D
Just did a quick check on my new hatching eggs and all but one has aircell right now :celebrate made a note and put back will let them be till day 6. So far these are looking good!!! :love

Now to be patient :pop:pop:fl
Best of luck :fl If my count is right I've got 36 chicks and 16 eggs that are still cooking... My hatch day was yesterday, but I always get late bloomers.

Ok...

Coop Update!
Well i was having serious issues with sand cleaning and it was starting to make my head hurt to clean out there. So I decided to go back to pine shavings. Means allergy meds more often but that's better then the yuck issues i was having, i think sand is great, but for small or open coops, which mine isn't.
I heard that adding bedding pellets helps with moisture issues so i put down a layer of those and then the chips on top. The coop is already smelling better!
The sand was shoveled out and added to the run and random places around yard/pasture.
I also took everything out but the nesting boxes and the fan. Today I am working on a roosting ladder to go in there for them.
Along one wall will be the new brooder.
We shall see how this goes!

Lol! I'm happy as the chips invite them to dust but they are finding different locations to hangout instead of the coop all day! Yay!:wee:ya

Though right now their spot is under my porch steps and they bawk at me every time i go in or out :barnie oh and i added one tiny cinder block to hold a small waterer for evenings.

Almond Laid her first egg in a while today! I'm so proud of her. It's only little but still.
She was sitting on it but with Hazel giving her support. Every cute.
Hopefully they both start up again.
We will be doing there coop as soon as we have finished painting the window frames in the house :celebrate

As you start getting eggs, we will stop getting them here in the North!

I have already seen some posts about molting

Hazel started to not but then she seemed to stop. Didn't lose much feathers at all.
Is she 1.5 years old or older yet? Some go through a big molt then; it is usually their first molt
