Flock/Life Journey's 2019

So....question my friends. I just bought an above ground pool. However i forgot to ask but it may not have a cover. It's a 500-600 usd coleman pool that i got for 75:ya I'm a water girl and i don't drive.. only an electric bike that'll take me 20 miles per trip.. only water near me is a swamp. Now I've taken advantage of it but its not relaxing :lau

So i felt that i really needed this. Not set up yet so what do I need to do to keep the flock out. The ducks could swim in but probably only the mallard could make it up there. Then the problem is the chlorine...should i/can i reasonably easy and cheap BUILD a cover? I have too many birds freeranging to constantly monitor the pool. Suggestions?
Yay for your pool! But I have nothing to offer... not sure what you could do ... hopefully your ducks won’t take it over  :sick

Maybe amazon or ebay might have one cheap?

I'm not sure on the other... but I'd love to come over to "help" :gig
Jelly! We've been looking at that pool too.. pools here are open may to aug but if we owned one we could enjoy all year except for 3 months.

Ohh! My husbs says if you are worried about the chlorine look into a salt and sand filter system. Works great! :caf

Morning/ evening everyone :frow

The Brahmas have just started molting.
I’ve bought all the hens saddle aprons to protect their backs.
Hopefully next year I won’t have to use them as we have more hens now from all the batches hatched this year.

I think it's going to be a watch and see situation... I wouldn't worry too much about the ducks, if they can get in, they can get out... But the presents they'll leave you would be bothersome. Keep a close eye on the chickens as they will likely perch on the edges. But as long as it's full it shouldn't be a problem.

Morning all!

5 little chipmunk stripes! There's a 6th one off to the side, i ended up helping that one hatch. It has severe splayed legs but chick cuffs are on, it's also a weakish chick so we'll see. 64BA1758-3316-49A8-84DA-CB31B59C2FD4.jpeg E2271BFE-3358-405C-95F8-C19615F508E8.jpeg
The black mystery chicks! Thinking maybe sexlinks or a different form of EE.

Luna’s still here with us...
I did another surgery on her bumble foot and the swelling seems to have gone down a lot.
