MM doesn’t sell EEs so they got to be something else, there is no way there are 3 mess up of EEs in my ornamental layer. I asked MM and they confirmed no EEs in the ornamental. Also I’m wondering if I got a few more whitings than the 2 I added on. This is fun! Such a mystery!
They sell ameraucana which are ees.

The black does have a whiting body type bough!

Springy looks like an easter egger, possibly a whiting true blue.

I looked at McMurray's ornamental layers, and there was a possibility of getting ameraucanas. But, when I looked at McMurray's ameraucanas, the pictures were all of easter eggers. Unfortunately, mislabeling like this happens quite often, but at least this time they spelled ameraucana right.

Well they best believe if they are lying then I will get to the bottom of it, I know that there are many smaller places that will do that but I didn’t expect a large hatchery to do that too, I guess we shall see.

Ameraucanas are an actually recognizedbreed where EEs are just mixes that make blue eggs.

There’s a good reading about the difference, MM shouldn’t have any EEs unless it’s a mess up which I guess could happen.

If you read mcmurrays site, these are not araucanas and are specifically noted as not being suitable for show, so really they are EEs, despite being called Ameraucanas.

You are right. So I deffinitely could end up with 1 at least(rare fee chick that the lady on the phone told me was an option for the rare chick and they need to change the name) that was after calling and asking they specifically said I shouldn’t get EEs or ameraucanas as part of the ornamental layer so regardless I
Shouldn’t have more then 1, based off their info they gave me over the phone.

So here are the whitings tonight, 7.5 weeks.

We lost chick 7 this morning from a really sad mistake it’s been a very sad day but I’m cheering myself up with looking at my other chick pics and figured I would post some updates!

Chick 8- Hollywood. Her comb is confusing to me and her legs are yellow on the bottom and blue over top so they still look green/blue overall.

Chick 5- Tiddles- she cracks me up! Green/blue legs and so much personality
