Flock-wide illness? Unsure of what is wrong. 2 Dead *Update*

I have four juvenile birds in quarantine after being shipped to me. They started to sneeze, have nose snot( didn't notice if it smelled bad), and one was wheezing really bad. No other symptoms. I figured they had a mycoplasma, which is common when a bird is stressed. I started them on Gallimycin added to their water, bought at the feed supple/farm store. After 3 days I saw a noticeable improvement. I am continuing treatment for 10 days. But you will have to treat the whole flock as it is very contagious.

Okay, I've got a bit of an update for everyone!

So far, no one else has dropped dead, and the runny noses seem to be clearing up. However....

My naked neck hen, Iris, has swelling on the right side of her face, and she also had smelly nasal discharge last time, so I'm thinking she may have Coryza. She seems to be the only one with a swollen face, but I intend to treat the whole flock. I have read Coryza often comes in conjunction with other illnesses. Is there some broad-spectrum antibiotic that would treat Coryza, plus any underlying conditions?

I had this problem a month or so ago, lost my best roo to it and couple of younger pullets. I have two juvenile pullets that are now stunted in their growth also. Like you there isn't a vet around here that will treat chickens ( I live in a city)

By the time I found out about the tylan most of them were getting better on their own. I did make sure they were staying warm and the coop was kept extra clean and dry. I also added vitamins to their water and used some VetRx (it's like vicks vapor rub for chickens)

From what I read, most of the upper respitory stuff is virus based and antibiotics won't fix it. The antibiotics will help with secondary infections that develop from being sick such as the pneumonia.

ETA: GOOD LUCK - it sucks when our pets are sick and they can't tell us exactly what is wrong! I hope yours get better soon!
