I suppose that means you have over a dozen? I'm afraid that will happen to me. What breeds/mixes do you own?

Several dozen. I have both Single Comb and Rose Comb Heritage Rhode Island Reds and the same with the Rhode Island Whites, some Sex-LInks and some other barnyard mixes. I show my Reds and Whites at poultry shows. Right now I have around 200 but have had around 400. Right now I'm separating them into their breeding pens, putting the males with the females that I want to breed.

That's really a far cry from six chicks lol! They are very impressive. How does RIR compare to Golden Comet in laying and temperament? If you could tell me, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the information. I am wanting the pure heritage breeds for my flock. That means several pens to keep them pure. I have some mega researching to do!
