I'm not sure about the swaps in Dunnellon, @cmom should be able to answer that though.
What area are you in? I'm just outside of Orlando and there is a fella here that I've been told does good business. (although he spams CL so hopefully it's not the same fella) I called a local feed store to see if they carried quail chicks, and they recommended him to me. If you are somewhat local to Orlando I can get his info for you.

I may try to make the Dunnellon swap, depends on how my weekend goes. I’d prefer to find something up this way though. Just looking for a couple dozen fresh, fertilized, quail eggs for hatching.

Hmm, this guy is a good 2 hours past Ocala. I sometimes follow the Ocala CL pages and do see quail and egg available often. Have you considered getting thten shipped to you?

Years ago I used to drive to a Jacksonville swap which was a 2 hr drive one way and over to Volusia county to sell some birds which is almost the same distance. Both are no longer in business.

There's a swap down by me in West Palm Beach at Red Barn that I go to. Mostly local people, I sell some of my newly hatched chicks and the layers that I don't intent to keep. I haven't had any problems there before.
