does anyone know if the next L Cross auction is on 9/27. according to their sign it should be but
information is hard to find. I't s like 150miles for me to drive to so i need to be sure it's actually

So my hubby is letting me keep the girls for now. We did have a surprise rooster and could not find a home for him. We had to dispatch him since chickens are illegal were we are. But if you must do it here is a link to a video. She makes it so much more peaceful and natural. It is a little graphic since she is doing what most of us dread. We did one thing different and used a cone actually a modified bucket. But we it only took a couple minutes and he fell asleep. All in all I don't want to do it again but thanks to this video I could if I had to. She has 2 videos on the whole process.

Great video. I just don't know if I could do it. But I liked her kindness to the hen.

Hi, does any one raise bantam barred rocks and need a rooster? I got Dick Horstman chicks this spring and we got one little rooster. My daughter does not want to breed them we only wanted a couple bantams so she would have good little showmanship birds, the little 6month old

roo is beautiful but when he was small got picked on by the Large fowl sized chicks he was with and his comb was damaged. It had scabs on the tips of two points and those points never finished growing. So he can't be shown but he would be a great addition to someone's bloodlines. I'd really like to trade him for a hen. We just don't need him and we have enough roosters. We live in brevard county FL.

My daughter has a few BT silver laced polish we got from Dick Horstman this May. They really were the sweetest and most personable breed we have raised as chicks and one still just runs straight to you when you open the coop. I avoided the polish when she got into 4h because everyone said they are terrible pets and stupid. I have not seen this at all with these! But yours look a lot darker than ours. I'm still not sure how dark they are supposed to be for showing. I posted to the polish thread about it as well. Do you show? What lines do yours originate from?
