FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

I've been to the Bent Creek swap meet the last 5 months. There have been quite a few vendors present except the end of last month when it poured rain most of the day. Vendors start showing up early about 8am and usually start leaving around 11am. I normally show up around 8:45 and there's quite a few people there. The weather dictates how many people show up.

Hi Floridians!!! I'm looking for anyone in the south Florida area who may be selling black copper marans, hatching eggs or chicks. Also, since I'm new to this "chicken addiction" are there any swap meets or auctions in the south Florida area as well? Thanks!!!!

How many hatching eggs would you want? I have a friend in Melbourne that has eggs. I'm incubating some for her right now and fertility is good. She doesn't get on here but I could see if she'd be willing to ship you some if you don't find any closer to you.

am looking for about a dozen. I recently have a batch in my incubator but I think they may be duds. (Shipped eggs from eBay) I was hoping for somewhere close enough for me to drive from Miami in order to avoid the whole shipping ordeal.

It's great to see someone else in the area - I'm about an hour north of you in Martin County and work in both Okeechobee and in Palm Beach.

Chicken math is hard at work at my place. Started with an established flock of 19 from someone moving out of state then realized they were such a good deal since they were past their laying prime (but we still were getting 12-17 eggs a day during the summer), so I ordered 25 chicks from a hatchery. All but one are still alive and healthy at 4 months. Just sold 2 of the roosters and one hen, but my "significant" other accidentally sold one of my sweet little maran hens (I only had 2.). I'm currently at 37 hens and one young EE rooster. Twenty more chicks will be here in February, including a handful of marans. Demand for fresh eggs is really high around here. Even at $5 a dozen and doing no advertising, we have a waiting list.

where are you!!! Hahaha close to Miami?

I am in the redlands (between miami and homestead) I have 8 eggs right now, hopefully will have more by the weekend but my
poor hens had a traumatic experience today (harrassed by dog). Nobody got hurt but they might be off their game for a few days.

they are blacks and blues.. you will see my ad on craigslist that has pictures.

next hatch that is not spoken for is on Feb 8th.
