Posting pics of duck. He gets close enough for the pics, but won't let me reach out to try and get the hook.

Poor guy . I’m like 40 mins away but I can’t because I have a sick kid and then I have after school activities. I hope someone can help.

I’m looking to rehome my bantam rooster. My silkie rooster doesn’t like that he is trying to take over the coop and I don’t want fighting. He is a duccle x silkie cross that was born November 4th 2018. So far he is a good rooster. He doesn’t like to be held and isn’t that friendly ( he avoids people) but talks and does the wing dance to the girls. Coop/hen raised.Hoping I can find a home where he won’t go on the dinner table unless he turns mean. I’m near Clermont FL.

@Thejperez. Are you close to Orlando?

No I'm a couple hours away. I wish I could help. I'd say get a large net and get him close with food and net him if possible. Though he probably doesn't want to eat, so that's probably out. Or some how make a area to corner him in. That would probably be the easiest way to trap him.

If you catch him wrap him up like a ducky burrito so he can't struggle, take wire cutters or tin snips and cut off the barbed ends and the hook should come clean out. That's how I'd get one out of myself or and animal. I hope you get him soon!

I do the same thing when working on the combs, wattles, legs and feet prior to taking the birds to a show. Good luck...

Thanks so much Miss Lydia. I took your advice on my thread and came right here to post about the duck. If anyone is in the Orlando area that can help, please post here. I live just south of Orlando about 2 miles south of the Orange County/Osceola County line in Kissimmee. I really want to help this poor duck out before he wastes away.

Next time he comes around i'll try and snap a picture to post here.
Oh my gosh so sad. I live in Miami, all that I can do is pray. I sure hope he comes around soon.
