FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Yes, the openings between the roof & frame b/c the roof zig-zags. That's what I am planning on using the foam for. Wood won't even fit, the roof is right on the wood, but the snake idea really creeps me out, so I want to block them. Only snake I've ever seen in my yard is a black racer. My neighbors swears there are black moccasins in the creek that runs along the back of my property.

Around 10 PM last night I hear my dogs barking bloody murder...so I go outside to see what's going on!!! My Sheperd mix Bella and my Lab Mix darth were both "fixed" on a coon that was on the backyard next door. That backyard is not fenced and there are always "visitors" there....Needless to say, neither dog wanted to come in to sleep last night and slept outside. Bella slept next to the coop on the open air when she could've been in the cover part of the patio....I thinkg I got myself a LSG dog! hahahahaha

She is a great gard dog, always walking the fence, ALWAYS, but I didn't think she would sleep next to the coop...that was sweet!

I hope they get over the shock soon!!! How many you have left?

I would wonder what Bella would do to a diving hawk...hmmm...she climbs trees after squirls and she can jump and "grab" just about anything abour 7' tall.....she's a lil monster! hahahaha...didn I mention she was a sheperd hound mix!? lol

"Looks like a hawk - we lost three birds last spring. Advice given and taken was to string up dvd and cd discs - I've not lost another bird. Now, on the other hand, we have a new computer. I didn't realize I had to keep software F O R E V E R , so some of those discs are rather expensive!"

I posted the above a few pages ago. If computer discs are unsightly, perhaps a wind chime with reflection built in will work. We have had snakes and raccoons, but, for whatever reason, no hawk attacks. I do see them flying around, though. Just not in my chicken yard.

Instead of stringing up CD's (even though they are cheap) why not use metal spinners (see image below) they serve the same purpose, but are much more attractive. You can find them at Ace, HD, Lowes, Target ect. Just google metal wind art spinners and see all the different designs available online as well.
