Florida Farmers Wasting Food!!!!!

Living here in Connecticut, I will wait for that nice summer harvest!

Things are tough all over, I don't know why I should have more sympathy for the farmer than I do for the bus driver. Pity a better solution couldn't be found. Frankly this is a case where the government could easily have stepped in and purchased a lot of the stuff. Better to feed fresh strawberries to the school kids than the processed crap so many schools call food.

This whole situation infuriates me, to be quite honest. People are angry because farmers won't "sell" their crops for 75% less than it's worth? Give me a freaking break. Simply put- selling their crops at (un)fair market value would actually cost the farmers money and put them in the red, but hey, who cares about the farmers? Who cares if they can't feed their own families? Would you feed a stranger before you fed your children/family?

Farmers have enough problems trying to make a living as it is.
