Yeah, judging starts at 9:00..depending on how many birds are entered as to when the judging will be over. Takes a good 3-4 hours or more depending on how many judges there are.
I'm sure there will be sellers set up early. Probably the best day if you want to buy will be on Saturday. The final judging on Champion Row is Sunday morning, and everyone usually clears out after that.
If they do the judging at 9am Saturday, does that mean we can't be in there looking at the chickens between 9-12 on Saturday? I can only come on Saturday but why get there early if you can't get in and see the contestants until after lunch?
there are several rows of birds the judges cant be in every isle at the same time so you can always look at the birds that have not been judged yet. theres alot to do so come when you want too

Well, I wasn't kidding.....My mom fell Thurs. night about 7:00. She hit her head on a hollow plaster pedestal that sat against a wall with a vase of flowers on it. It broke a hole in the side and the sharp pieces cut her scalp in 4 places alongside the huge black knot that must have hit first. She was lying on the floor, blood gushing when I walked in from putting the covers on the coops. She has dementia and can't remember that I have to be there to assist any time she gets up to transfer to the wheelchair. Soooooo, we spent the next 18 hours in the ER, finally got her into a room, staples in her scalp, compression fracture of a neck vertebrae....and I didn't get any sleep at all. If they keep her until Sunday I'll see you at the show. If they release her Saturday, I won't. It's hard living with uncertainty and sudden emergencies.
