Flu took all but 1

The flu came through and took my entire flock. All but 1. The plan is to disinfect, disinfect, disinfect again, fire torch the run and all around coop on the ground. We would wait about 2 months and introduce 2 to 3 new hens. My question is.... will the surviving hen always be a carrier?? I've also placed an order for 25 new chicks the end of April..... has anyone been left with one chicken and able to start fresh with all being healthy?

Where are you located in the world?

Did you have confirmation of Avian Influenza through your State Lab?

Afik, recovered birds will continue to shed the virus, so essentially yes, your survivor will be a carrier.
