Fluffy lamb's Bantam Cochin thread!

Going to the farm today. Out of the five good eggs, how many do you guys think hatched?
I hope all 5!
I'd suggest you get her a chicken saddle so she has a "shield" for her feathers to grow back.
Thanks for the suggestion! I might try to make her one. I was looking at her and I think they have started to grow back now!
I also breed and sell. Only I have BYM and Light Sussex! How much did you make if you sold any chicks? (if you'd not mind me asking) Iade over a 100€ this year! However I made an admissional 250€ from selling exotic finches and doves!
I actually don't know much I have made. from just Cochins- probably not very much. Like a really little amount. From all chicks and turkey poults- I made $75 in one day selling chicks once but that was at my family's like fall festival/corn maze so there was tons of potential customers, chicks I think we usually sell for a few dollars to like $10 depending on how old they are. I think turkey poults we sold starting at like $5 and almost $15-$20 if they are like 5 months old or something like that. We have also gotten a good amount from selling hatching eggs on eBay, the turkey eggs we didn't have listed for very long but we couldn't keep up with the people buying them unless we took the listing off and waited until the order we were working on was filled. Our Silkie egg listing also really sold, and we only have 5 hens (and some of them will frequently go broody so they are not all laying sometimes) so it was hard to keep up with those orders. I'm trying to hatch all the Silkie eggs we get right now and we got 18 Silkie chicks at the feed store so hopefully we can increase the Silkie flock and maybe keep up with orders better. So I don't know exactly how much we were making from the eggs either but my mom said it was paying the feed bills.
At least I think she is a Cochin mix of some sort. I got her from a breeder who said she was Cochin and I think something about blue Austrolorp but that was when my Italian wasn't great.
She looks like she could be to me! And I love your adorable little budgie(?) in your profile pic!

That's so cool! Do you have breeding pens? In planing on using free pallet boards and I'm wondering what others have done? I definitely can't pay for multiple Amazon coops as they fit three chickens but cost 250$!

Right now the Cochins, Silkies, and Cornish have their own single pen, but my mom said she wants to get more of the pens we got for them, so maybe in the future there will be different breeding groups!

Wow, that sucks. Coops are really expensive. My dad has pretty much unlimited wood so I'm gonna start building coops for my cochins. I would start building next year, but I don't have any other coops to put any new cockerels I will get, and I don't want them to fight their dad or each other and potentially get hurt or worse.
