I locked down the incubator yesterday evening (with 11 little quail eggs!), but something seemed weird during candling; most of the eggs have a small amount (1-2 "drops") of liquid rolling around inside the air cell. I'm not sure what causes this, or what it means, but I'm new to incubating and to quail, so I'm not sure about a LOT of things. Does anyone have experience with liquid inside the air cell of their eggs (quail or otherwise)? Will it pose a challenge during hatching? Thanks for any advice.

This could be due to high humidity in incubation and could be a problem during hatch, yes. They could potentially pip into the air cell and then drown in the liquid. What is your humidity percentage now in lockdown and what was it before?

It's been 30-45% throughout (spiked to 70% the first three days before I figured out how much water I needed). Right now it's hovering around 60-65%.
