Flying Chickens!

Lol I have 5 that let themselves out & in to free range. I have two runs. A secured run and another huge chicken yard with no netting over top.

I did not click their wings (yet). I put up more (hawk) string across their chicken yard and that seems to have done the trick. The Barnie took flight but hit the string and came right back down. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

I use deer netting. I got it at my local TSC.

Feed them grower feed. Fat chickens can't fly good.

Has anyone had issues with small bird's or squirrels getting caught in netting like this? I would like to try it , but I'm afraid I would injure something unintentionally.
