Well get 16 females isn't that many
The advice you have been given is valid. If you add just a few hens, there WILL be problems, and you will be back asking for help.
if theyre mallards, wouldnt just one hen each be fine?
I had 4 kc hens and two drakes, and after the adolecent crazy stage passed, they were okay with each other

althought, I dont know if it was me, if id wanna risk adding any girls at all, even up to 16. any fights that happened Id feel guilty about messing up the nice happy life they had already.

So theres my point of view. undecided :lau

Not sure how that would work just each drake having one female. If they'd be nice and pair up that way. So unpredictable and I agree Having a flock of 4 drakes that get along is awesome I sure would think twice about bringing in any females.

oh no, thats just Julie being Julie :gig ;)

@AshleyNicole06 from your picture with the cayuga, I reckon you got mallards. (or at least some mallard thing) I have saxony ducks, which are rouen size, and while they DID once surprise me by hopping almost 3 feet high on one extremly windy day (it just blew hard and they got all excited and then took a tiny jump :p), they can most definitely NOT fly as high as the power lines :p

And about clipping. I only done it twice on a chicken roo. its not hard at all, it doesnt hurt them a bit, but I have found its easier with two people, one to hold the bird, and then you pull the wing out and snip. but its easy to do ;)
Heehee yes. I am out of control when it comes to cute webbed burbs of duck.
