Is there any way around it? I want girls, but don’t want too many ducks. Lol

I want girls tho! Lol![]()
The advice you have been given is valid. If you add just a few hens, there WILL be problems, and you will be back asking for help.
Lol! I wish!! That’s too many!Well get 16 females isn't that many![]()
Thanks!!I’ve found it helps when you hold it and let it get comfortable before you do anything. Then they’re a little calmer and it’s easier to get it done. Don’t be scared! You can do it!![]()

if theyre mallards, wouldnt just one hen each be fine? The advice you have been given is valid. If you add just a few hens, there WILL be problems, and you will be back asking for help.
Heehee yes. I am out of control when it comes to cute webbed burbs of duck.oh no, thats just Julie being Julie![]()
@AshleyNicole06 from your picture with the cayuga, I reckon you got mallards. (or at least some mallard thing) I have saxony ducks, which are rouen size, and while they DID once surprise me by hopping almost 3 feet high on one extremly windy day (it just blew hard and they got all excited and then took a tiny jump), they can most definitely NOT fly as high as the power lines
And about clipping. I only done it twice on a chicken roo. its not hard at all, it doesnt hurt them a bit, but I have found its easier with two people, one to hold the bird, and then you pull the wing out and snip. but its easy to do![]()
