Flying Rouen Ducks

Yesterday my Rouen ducks took flight over the power lines and across the gravel road and landed in the field! Omgosh!! Are they going to fly away?? Should I be worried?? I thought Rouen ducks were too big to fly?

Rouen ducks are large so they won’t fly south for the winter but they are related to mallerds so they can fly short distances

Are you sure they are not Mallards? True Rouens are 10+ pounds and aren't flying anywhere. As for whether they will fly away, I doubt it. People keep domestic Mallards and they don't fly south for winter.

The place we got them said they were Rouens.
