khaki Campbell duck has bubbly foam coming from her eye, and the skin around it is kind of raw looking.
She has no symptoms of a respiratory infection, acts completely normal besides the eye.
She always has acces to running clean water deep enough for her head to go completely under. I saw one of my chickens peck her face a while ago, but I’m not sure if she pecked her eye but there isn’t any wound on the eyeball.. Is this an infection? Can I give her eye drops of some sort?
Thanks

Try washing the eye with warm salty water 1/8teaspoon of salt to 8 oz of nice warm water mix real well and pour over the eye. That can help heal. If it still looks raw and foamy tomorrow go to TSC and get Terramycin eye ointment. Chickens can seriously injure so you may want to keep them separate from your ducks.

Ok thanks!
The odd thing is, the chicken doesn’t go after the duck.
The duck walks over to the chicken and layer her neck and head on the ground so the chicken pecks it. Any idea why she’d do that?
