Foamy poop

Where are you located? What are you using for heat in the brooder? What is the temp? Looks ok to me, thinking it's pretty warm, make sure that they can move away from the heat in the brooder (cool spot). Wait to see what others say ....

I’m in Ohio. I have a heat lamp I bought at the local tractor supply and my thermometers read 95. They are kept in a large tote in my house. Have fresh food and water along with grit and a little hard boiled egg yolk each morning. Ive been adding a littlest nutri drench to the water as well.

Are they able to move away from the heat? Looks normal to me but will ask for help here....

The poop looks like normal new chick cecal poop. However, you need to watch each chick over this next two weeks for any signs of lethargy, awkward balance, and noisy non-stop, shrill peeping. It's behavior more than quality of poop that tells us a chick may be in trouble.

If your room where you have your brooder is warmer than 70F, 95F in the brooder is too warm. This can make for runny poop as the chicks drink excessive amounts of water. You want the brooder at the lowest possible temperature and still have the chicks comfortable and not acting cold by bunching together. Experiment with a lower wattage bulb by raising or lowering it. You should have one warm spot directly under the bulb (between 80 and 85F) and the largest portion of the brooder should be much cooler so chicks can shed excess heat.

Those 250watt heat lamps are almost always overkill unless the ambient temps are quite cold. You would do better with a 60-100watt incandescent bulb.

yes they are able to move away. They just have a space at the end of the tote that is at 95
