Thanks everyone

Stay tuned for more updates because we all just gotta know! Especially with these breed mixes lol

Week 7! I didn't get all of them and of the black ameraucana, I can't tell them apart unless they're side by side or if I go do a study on previous chick pics LOL

Semi group photo. We know the red one is a boy lol

Ameraucana - MIGHT be a girl, but leaning towards boy.

Ameraucana - Probably a boy, but those muffs!

Another Ameraucana - This one was black and white as a chick. Like, a lot of white.

And the third black Ameraucana chick.

This was the one that I *thought* was my Black Sex Link. But. We see where that's going. I still have no idea HTF this happened. Both black chicks were from eggs collected on the same day, but I digress.

A guest appearance from the non-NN mix boy on the left. Then the Blue Ameraucana. Siding with boy on this one.

Boop! Looking pullet, but considering how his daddy hid as one, I'm not convinced yet. Behavior doesn't suggest roo at this point but it's still early.

I'm almost certain this is a girl. And I love this bright little face! RSL/SS cross

This is the EE/SS cross. Undecided. Probably roo.

This is the Dark Cornish/SS cross. Maybe pullet. Could still go either way but leaning more pullet.

The next two pics are the Marans. I'm thinking I got lucky still, and got a girl! Marans are known for making themselves known early on gender and so far so good!

I feel lucky having gotten any girls at all

It's okay though, honestly. I'm making plans to get 2 dozen more eggs to throw in the incubator in March for an April Fool's Day hatch. I can only have so many chickens so I'll keep the ladies and the boys will either be sold (LOL right) or processed.

Ready for week 8? I didn't get everyone, again. We actually had a bird of prey of some sort making random fly overs so I was a little distracted.

Non NN roo

SS/RSL roo

SS/Dark Cornish pullet?? Maybe?

Mottled Ameraucana - most likely roo. Breeder says still too early to tell, but I'm leaning towards roo still.

SS/EE - Looking more like a roo here, especially when I compare the comb with the DC cross.

Black Copper Marans - pullet

Meow - the resident JERK of a chick. This bird is always facing off with the adults and just this past weekend, got snatched up through the chain link run by one of the adults. Did he run after he got away??? No. He continued challenging. First one in the pot at this rate... SS/Australorp (although originally thought SS/Barred Rock, but that would have been a sex link. This bird is an anomaly)

Mottle Ameraucana - hoping for a lady. Didn't get any good body shots, I don't think. Although could be the same bird below. They're getting harder to tell apart now.

Boop! My fave. SS/Australorp - Hope like hell pullet, but daddy hid as one for a while before showing himself, so I'm not getting my hopes up. Mostly.

SS/RSL - looking good to be a pullet

Mottled Ameraucana - Maybe a girl. Maybe?

Time for 9 week pics! Please feel free to jump in with opinions!

Again, I don't have everyone in here and might have a double on some of the black Ameraucanas and just can't tell lol

Ameraucana

This one I'm still convinced is a girl. SS/RSL

Non NN mix - boy

BCM - girl

Ameraucana - boy?

Ameraucana - girl? (One of the black ams comes and sits with me and I think this is that one - if so, girl)

SS/EE - calling a boy on this one

SS/Dark Cornish - THINKING girl. Maybe.

Ameraucana - thinking boy

Ameraucana - thinking boy

Ameraucana - thinking boy

SS/Australorp - HOPING pullet...still apprehensive
