Food consumption

Our chicks are 8 weeks old, I have been filling up the feeder whenever it gets low. My question is this, should I just give them a set amount each day and when its gone it's gone, or keep the feeder full and let them graze at it?

If all they have to eat is chicken feed, keep it at least half full. They won't overeat chicken feed.

Are you raising meaties or layers? Feeding practices will differ for each. For layers, I just keep food available at all times.
