My DE bag says Codex on it I believe to say it is food grade, do not mess with it if it isnt, why chance it? I LOVE the DE all my animals are taking it, we are taking it. My Mother had the pain in her ankles go away. I feel much better taking it I felt like crud at first but then things got better. I travel so was willing to try it for that reason alone,. I have been to India. I do not feel pain where my foot was broke and all my joints seem more flexible and more stable. My hair seems to be coming in more as it was thining since I had my daughter. I know there are a lot of minerals in the DE and I guess I was missing some of them. We have used it in our cats and dogs for fleas and seen improvement in the cats but the dog is the one that goes outside and it has been harder controlling them on him, I think it will work better if we start before he gets them. Two of our cats have shown improvement along with a rabbit. The coats of all 3 look better, and the rabbit seems to have more energy. It works great in the coop and they are all getting it in the food. Works really good at getting rid of flies also. I had a hard time finding a place that sells it but you may find someone by you who knows. I called a LOT of places before I realized I was going to have to travel a ways to get some. It was worth the trip!
