So we were on All flock, for weeks I was having one continuously laying soft shell eggs, even 2 times a day. And was constantly in my house because of it. She just wouldn’t use the oyster shell even after 3 brands.

I use the Nutrena Oyster Shell brand, never switched due to a stubborn bird.

They will eventually eat it.

I hope not. I didn’t want to switch to layer because of the Roo. But reading a lot it seems it won’t make too much of a difference to him. It’s only 1% lower protein than the All flock. The polish don’t even seem interested in laying at all.

The problem for non laying birds (which include roosters, chicks, retired hens, broody hens and molting birds) isn't the protein percentage it's the calcium.

It can cause kidney issues fed long term to non laying birds.
